AUGUST A. DUTE
:
AMHERST- August A. Dute, 779 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst, passed away at the Amherst hospital at 7:30 pm., Sunday at the age of 83. He had been ill since November.
He was born in Amherst township and spent his entire life in this vicinity. He worked 32 years at the National Tube Company in Lorain and retired 18 years ago. He attended the Methodist Church. He is survived by hiw wife, Elizabeth A; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth E. Gerswold, Rocky River; two sons, William E. and Glenn A., both of Rocky River; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Julius of Amherst and Jacob of Berlin Heights.
The body is at the Zilch Funeral Home where services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm. The Rev. Dale Riffs will officiate. Burial will be in Ridgehill Memorial Cemetery.

My records indicate that he was born October 2, 1867 and died April 1, 1951
