CLARA  DELLEFIELD


Clara Roberta Dellefield, 68, of Amherst Twp., died Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Elyria and moved to Amherst Twsp. 40 years ago.
She was a member of South Amherst Congregational Church, a Girl Scout leader 1958-64 for the Erie Shore Girl Scout Council, South Amherst, and a former volunteer for the American Cancer Society.
She served in the Women's Auxiliary Transportation Corp. during World War II.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Howard C.; daughters, Mrs. James (Patti) Emery of Elyria and Mrs. Nelson (Sandra) Williams of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Vincent (Breta) Krebs of S. Amherst, and five grandchildren.
Friends may call Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Mary Ellen Hoffman, pastor of South Amherst Congregational Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Lorain.
