Julius V. Dute


Last rites for Julius V. DUTE who passed away Aug.26, at the Lorain Convalescent home, were held Wed. afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Zilch funeral home with Rev. C.C. Vandersall officiating. Burial was made in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Dute, who was 88 years of age had fallen and broken his hip 6 weeks ago and was confined in St. Joseph's Hospital in Lorain for 5 weeks before being taken to the rest home.a well known farmer, he was born and lived all his life in Amherst and Amherst Township. His present residence was on Leavitt Road. He was a member of the First Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Surviving are two sons, Reuben A. and Nelson F., both of Amherst Township, 2 grandchildren and 1 brother, Jacob, of Berlin Heights. His wife proceeded him in death on Aug.17, 1945.

Note:

My records indicate that he was born May 29, 1863 and died August 26, 1951.
